Both teams are AI controlled and usually end up with one team oneshotting the other. The only thing I really engaged with was the "Brave Battle" system which pits a team of your characters up against a team of enemy characters. I am really not fond of pvp systems in gacha games since there are always clear cut meta units and I never roll on anything just because it is meta. One thing I have yet to fully explore is the pvp in this game. That being said, don't expect too much from them performance wise. They are available as playable and they tend to be in an ingame currency shop, so you don't even have to roll/pay for them. Speaking of liking certain characters - if you really like some of the more obscure ones like Pesche, Dondochakka or even Cat Yoruichi, rejoice. That shouldn't discourage you to roll for them however if you just like a certain character since most regular content can still be completed comfortably with them. There's a ton of characters but since the game is running for years now, most of the older characters aren't exactly viable anymore for more difficult content. Do you mind power creep? If yes then this might be a bit difficult. When it comes to characters Bleach has it's benefits and drawbacks depending on where you're coming from. I have the feeling that the story mode alone burns out most new players before they get to more actual fun and interesting content like Raids etc.

The problem here isn't really that it offers little challenge but rather that it is really, really long.

It mostly consists of playing through a retelling of the Bleach story which offers no challenge whatsoever so it can be essentially completed by letting the AI control your character. The first experience new players will have when it comes to gameplay however will be dull to say the least. That being said the official discord isn't too bad when it comes to general questions and help. At the time of writing this review I'm roughly 60 hours in and I feel like I kinda understand the majority of this game's content now but only on a surface level since I still have no clue what some terms mean or which characters are good for what without consulting Google. While it delivers the free serotonin of being showered in welcome gifts the game itself has a bunch of systems that aren't explained all that well. (But who really is?)Īs a beginner the game (like most long running gacha games) can feel a bit overwhelming. While the touch controls are serviceable, they are just that and can feel a bit janky in more difficult quests if you're not used to them. The game itself is generally very interactive and definitely the most enjoyable with a controller or mouse and keyboard. For people who know me it shouldn't come at a surprise that my first review is for a gacha game but with that out of the way I'm going to try to keep it brief.
